I don’t really have anything to say about this one lol. I was originally thinking of having a daily, maybe bi-daily project where I do a short picture based around the theme of one of my kanji flaschards. That way I can sort of get some practice both in Japanese and drawing. So….well, the flashcard for this one was 使. It basically means to use. I was at first thinking way less tryhard, and my friend gave me an idea of someone using potions. I sorta thought I should do something that might have somemeaning. Since I know it’s impossible to tell, it’s a guy who’s got a smartphone riding a saddle atop his head. I remembered every time I’m at work, when we’re at break, literally everyone sticks their face into their smartphone. It’s like everything else is too bleak and they need to text and facebook and whatnot. Never really minded not having a smartphone so…from there I got this. Hope it’s not TOO awful.

Idk, just did a random thing of him on a whim. I never ever color anything digital because I’m just awful at it and I never get around to just practicing it, but you can consider this try #1 lol. I have a list of characters I want to do fanart for and I just picked from that. Always liked Sanji, except for the whole heart eyes thing. His kick moves are cool though so yeah. Came out kind of weird, but I was just continuing without any second thoughts.

Sketches (that I can’t upload)

Yoooo. So over the summer I said I’d do something, and well I didn’t. At least, not digitally. Basically, I drew almost exclusively in my sketchbook, but I still don’t have any room to set up my printer/scanner, and I don’t want to have to use a digital camera. Not that I have one anyway though lol. Anyway, I’ll try to get my scanner up again somewhere, even if it’s in like the most inconvenient place ever. I have a lot of stuff I want to post. Maybe even just random pages in my sketchbook so people can see the seriously awful crap I do before I get something mediocre out. Simple update. Not much, just something

Like I said, this isn’t really that much. I’ve been drawing a lot in my journal for class/sketchbook, so I don’t exactly have much I can upload. However, I did a few really small meaningless things (as you see here) and I’ll probably get around to doing something colored simply, maybe P4A Akihiko pic or something. In the meantime, yeah, there’s too many kanji.

Short update: BB:Extend

So this past week or so I managed to get in some BB with more random people. I’m glad I was able to go even with some 500 or so PSR kune/bang player. Fuck kune’s j.B, but whatever it was pretty fun. I drop dp inputs on stick like crazy still, but I can tell I’m getting more comfortable with it. I think. I played a ragna today. I have trouble with the Jin/Ragna matchup much more than I should, I feel like. I’m pretty sure I lost every game to that guy today. The actual matches were close for the most part, but I didn’t win any.

That being said, even after using like 600 yen consistently at the arcade maybe bi-daily, excluding weekends, I really enjoy the arcade scene. When you finish playing games, you can say thanks for the games or whatever in Japanese, and go on to do life things. I think it’s pretty nice because it’s also pretty streamlined with everyday life, in my situation at least.

I go to 3 hour Japanese lesson, go to arcade for an hour or so, go back home, and leave for part-time work at an umi no ie. Kind of just part of the routine I suppose.

Anyway, still looking forward to coming back home to play with the local scene again, though that still won’t be for a little while. Yup.

Here’s a shitty WIP of Natasha from FE: Sacred Stones as a Valkyrie, kind of. It’s sort of hard to tell what exactly the sprite is trying to show, so I’m just doing a little customization and whatnot. Though I’m not very far in it anyway lol.

Been playing a lot of SS, and I still don’t want to wait til 2013 for Awakening. Oh weeeeeeeeeell.
